NYOOM is a rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) speed reader that flashes your reading material one word at a time, right where your eyes already are. No more scanning back and forth across a line, just point your focus at the middle of the screen and let the words come to you.

Drop in a PDF, an EPUB, or just paste in text, an article, a chapter, your notes, anything, and go.

Privacy

Everything happens locally in your browser. Your text and documents are never uploaded anywhere.

Getting started

1. Download and extract the zip somewhere on your computer — don't run it from inside the zip.
2. Double-click Start-NYOOM.bat.
3. A small server window opens and your browser launches automatically. Keep that window open while you read, and close it when you're done.

A local server window is included because browsers block PDF/EPUB reading when a page is opened directly from a folder, it runs only on your machine and never touches the internet.

Note: EPUB support works with standard, DRM-free .epub files. Files with copy protection (most commercial ebook store purchases) can't be opened.
